I prefer to use Disaronno but if don’t have any on hand, you can easily substitute Amaretto. Amaretto and Disaronno are both almond-flavored liqueurs there are some key differences between them that I will briefly talk about. Disaronno is a specific brand of amaretto liqueur. It was originally known as Amaretto di Saronno, named after the town of Saronno in Italy where it originated back in the 16th century. Disaronno is one of the most famous and widely recognized brands of amaretto. It has a more distinct and well-known flavor profile that is smoother and slightly more refined compared to some other amaretto brands. Amaretto is a general type of almond-flavored liqueur that can be produced by various brands with slight variations in taste and ingredients. If you are looking for a budget friendly option, then I would go with the Amaretto but if you are wanting a smoother taste then I would go with the Disaronno.

• 1 ounce of Disaronno.
• Optional - If you want to you can add a dash of cinnamon if you want.
